Lisa was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. Lisa’s upbringing and connection to the Pacific Northwest is unique and special. As an example, Lisa once lived “off grid” for several years. Lisa has been writing her entire life and she cherishes and embodies the art of writing.
“Living in the midst of the national forest, alongside a wild and scenic river, and bordering a designated wilderness, allows me to sink into a space where stories flow. Words, thoughts, tales from others, fascinate me, and I started this blog space as a place to hear those stories. My hope is that we can sit back here, as if gathering around a warm fire with friends, and chat about words.
The photos on this about page is an example of some everyday beauty that can be experience daily.
If you would like to learn more about the beautiful area I’m lucky enough to call home, do an image search on any of the following: the Skykomish River, the Wild Sky designated wilderness, Mt. Index, Lake Serene, whitewater rafting along the Skykomish, rock climbing on the Index Town Wall, or hiking the Cascade mountains. The Pacific Northwest is my home and it is truly a beautiful and magical area.”

Those pics make me totally homesick for the NW…… I can’t see we have any scenery like that here in Texas….. Have a great day Lisa! 🙂

My hope is to never take this area for granted. It is a very beautiful place. Rather cold at the moment; even the whitewater river has ice in it.

I’ve tried to force a few down the path I wanted, and learned my lesson when the story ground to a halt.

Hi Meg, and thanks for stopping by. You’re right about wilderness giving inspiration. I just finished a wonderful children’s story about the ‘Standing Nation’ or trees, and I loved that visual. Enjoy your day!

I just discovered you this morning on Amazon when I was doing a search on Wallace, Idaho. So hello and nice to meet you 🙂 I grew up in Wallace, but have been away for the past twenty years though I still go back once or twice a year for visits. It’s such a unique place.

Wallace is great. And such fodder for stories! My dad grew up there and I wish I made it back more often. It’s nice writing about that area because then I can use the excuse ‘I need more research!’ to justify a visit.
